Words cannot explain how grateful I am that I have you as my hair and makeup artist for almost a couple of years now, since the time we started to work on my numerous photo shoots, my pageants, and my graduation pictorial. I wanted to tell you that I always stood out among all the rest, but I would not have looked that great if it wasn't for your patience and artistry. In every event, you knew exactly how I wanted my hair and makeup to look. You did a great job in making my visions for myself become a reality. Not only those, you were also tons of fun to work with...we had great conversation and we all had a lot of great laughs! You helped take the "stress" out of my pageants’ preparations. You were a calming influence amid the chaos. You protect me.
My gratitude to you Ms. Raven for doing a brilliant job on my hair and makeup for all my precious events. Not only was your expertise top class, you were so pleasant and friendly, which made me feel completely at ease and perfectly relaxed every time.
You have been so helpful from the outset and gave me lots of advice both around skincare in preparation for my big day and also gave me great ideas for different styles of hair and makeup which would complement my facial features, and over-all personality to match the event.
I would absolutely recommend Ms. Raven as a truly professional, creative hair and makeup artist. She always delivers style and imagination with a beautiful manor, she is fun, and without a doubt that you will always be impressed. We got married last December 30, 2010. But I've known Raven months before our wedding. I am based overseas but raven made it easy for us to communicate. She made herself available in every possible way. We were communicating through SMS, email, Facebook, y!m and Skype! I easily felt comfortable with her because she's so nice, open and very accommodating with all my questions.
When it was time for me to go back home to the Philippines to organise our wedding, I first met Raven for our trial make up. We were supposed to have it in a salon but unfortunately we can't have it there. I really admire her flexibility and professionalism because she didn't moved our tight schedule and she even opened up her apartment for us. She really knows her craft and is very knowledgeable in her field. She patiently explained every make up she applied to my face, how it works and what it is for.
During our wedding day, Raven and her team arrived in our hotel, set up their stuff and got on to business. Everything run smoothly and her team is very well coordinated. All of us were very happy and very satisfied with how we looked on that day. The make up looked so natural! Thanks for making us beautiful, Raven and team!
Raven is not just good at what she does but is also a good friend. Even though the 30th of December has passed, I'm so happy because our friendship didn't end there.

I am not used to putting make up on and i am usually allergic to products in the market. On my wedding day I wanted to feel and look most beautiful, and my husband (fiance at that time) only had one request-- that I look like myself. I showed him the bridal packages of some famous artists in the industry but he was very skeptical-- surely, he said, we don't have to spend so much to just look like ourselves. So after one disasterous trial at a known studio, I was at a loss. It was a good thing one of our close friends referred me to her cousin Raven.
The first time we met, I remember her first words, "you're pretty!". I liked her already. Instead of going to a studio, she went to our house for the trial. My mom and my sisters were there so aside from keeping me relaxed and comfortable while she explained every step, she also bonded with my family, even daddy! To all the brides out there, know this is key to any partner relationship. Its just priceless for you to be comfortable with your make up artist. She will be the one who will bring out your glow and the only other one aside
from your maid of honor who will be assisting you throughout your wedding day.
Raven took a lot of time to explain how she will execute the style I have in mind. My wedding gown was right there and she knew I was going for a really classic look that will go well with my sunshine themed wedding. She also explained the products she was using and how she was like me very OC about sanitizing and using only natural hypoallergenic products. She was also taking pictures to document the process to study before my wedding.
After the trial right in my own room, and even sizing up my mom and my sisters' make up and hairdo preferences for the wedding day, we said goodbye and I set off to meet my fiance for dinner.
I knew when I saw him smile that I finally found my make up artist! The first time at the other artist's studio I was scared to see him and he was trying to find the right words to say to not make me feel worse than I did. This time he was smiling and wondering how much make up was really there because this time I looked like myself (only better!). I also did not have to tell him "it will look better in the pictures" even if I also have trial shots to prove I looked as good in person as in the pictures.
Fast forward to my wedding day. It was going to be a 9 am ceremony so Raven and her assistant were one of the first in my suite. I don't remember too much of that early morning but when I watch the raw video, I notice I was constantly distracted by people coming, our photographers, the flowers, my family getting ready. But Raven was just calm and very focused and soon all of us were set. Our photographers took more pictures at the suite and my mom and sisters kept telling me I was beautiful maybe because they can sense I was getting tense and emotional.
Finally at church people waiting would stop at the car and tell me how beautiful I was on this day. Raven was still there touching up while I ate graham crackers :)
By the time the grand doors of the Magallanes church opened, the smiles greeting me as I walked down the aisle made me feel this day was my dream come true. I never felt more beautiful in my life.
At the reception, Raven fixed my hair after my veil was taken off. She had planned a different look for lunch and kept gushing over the pictures she saw our photographers putting together for the onsite video. "You look like a princess!" but I was looking across at my husband, who was just happy that the ceremony went well and that we were finally husband and wife.
